Our company is family owned and operated and represents three generations of experience in the Clearing, Demolition, Grading, and Hauling businesses. Our story began with our grandfather, W.C. Black, back in 1947. After returning home from service in the U.S. Army in World War 2, he bought an old truck and began a contract hauling business. Five years later he began hauling freight for various companies, which continued until 1978.

In 1978, W.C. Black and his son started our current company. They started with one truck in 1978 and by 1981, they had grown in both employee size and equipment, to include six trucks and a front end loader. In 1981, our company began management and operation of a land fill site in western North Carolina, a project which lasted until 2006. In 1981 W.C. Black & Sons, Inc. also began offering commercial site work services. The following year, 1982, we began offering residential site work services as well. We began offering and conducting demolition services in 1985. W.C. Black & Sons, Inc. has continued to provide exceptional services and superior work quality since our business began.
